Senior Plating Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• ‍Process Optimization and Maintenance:
  • ‍Monitor chemical bath composition and concentrations, adjust parameters based on specific plating requirements (e.g., metal type, thickness, finish).
  • Conduct quality checks on plated parts using various inspection methods (e.g., thickness gauges, visual inspection) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process issues, implement corrective actions, and document findings.
• ‍Technical:
  • ‍Understand and interpret plating process parameters and technical drawings.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on plating equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and identifying potential malfunctions.
  • Stay updated on new plating technologies and industry best practices. ‍
• Leadership:‍
  • Mentor junior plating technicians on proper procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the plating team on plating issues ‍
• Documentation and Reporting:‍
  • Maintain records of plating processes, including chemical bath logs, plating parameters, and quality inspection results. ‍
• Safety Compliance:‍
  • Adhere to all safety regulations related to hazardous chemicals, proper handling procedures, and personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure the plating area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
